NBS SPEAKING AT 2007 CSMFO ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Temecula, California - February 26, 2007 - NBS has again been selected to speak at the Annual Conference for the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO). With over 700 attendees expected to be present, this conference will bring together many local public finance professionals from across the State. The 2007 conference will be held in Modesto, California, from March 7 through March 10. Tim Seufert and Greg Davidson, Directors at NBS, will participate in a panel discussion on Assessment Districts on Friday, March 9 at 10:45 AM.

The topic is a discussion of funding water and wastwater infrastructure. The needs of funding water and wasewater infrastrucure are staggering, in both established communities and rapidly growing areas. Pressure on funding infrastrucure is intensifying as the funding requirements increase for NPDES programs, sanitary sewer overflows, and right-of-way maintenance. State funding only touches a small portion of the local need. This session will provide a brief overview of the issue and potential funding sources. In particular, the discussion will cover three funding sources: Special Assessments/Special Taxes, Fees & Rates.

NBS will be hosting a cocktail party at Hero's Sports Bar on Wednesday March 7 from 8 PM until Midnight. NBS will also be hosting a coffee break on Thursday, March 8 at 10:15 AM.
