Coming together to remember a colleague, friend, and beloved member of our NBS team
Last week, our team came together for our annual company picnic, now respectfully and affectionately known as the “Jordan Taylor Memorial BBQ”, to honor our colleague and friend, Jordan Whitney Taylor.
Jordan joined NBS in 2018 and quickly became a valued member of our Utility Rate team. She brought energy, curiosity, and dedication to everything she did. Outside of work, Jordan was an accomplished equestrian, an avid traveler, and a passionate animal lover whose adventurous spirit took her around the world. She had visited the Great Wall of China and was planning a trip to Patagonia, a destination she was eagerly looking forward to visiting and exploring.
Jordan passed away in 2023 during a triathlon in San Diego, but her impact continues to be felt deeply by those who knew her. Through organ donation, she gave the gift of life to four individuals, reflecting the generosity that defined her. It was especially meaningful to be joined again this year by some close members of Jordan’s family.
Jordan believed in the importance of creating the change you wish to see in the world, and each year, we honor her by carrying that spirit forward. This BBQ is a celebration of her legacy bringing us together in connection, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Jordan was deeply cherished, and her spirit lives on in moments like these. Congratulations to “Team Won” for their victory this year!
We are grateful to honor Jordan’s memory and share some moments from this special day.
