The Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) was established in 1939 to serve the growing community on the east side of the San Francisco Bay. Over the years, CVSan has expanded its services to meet the evolving needs of the area, providing sanitary sewer and recycling services with a strong focus on sustainability and zero-waste practices. CVSan also recently unveiled its new 21,000-square-foot headquarters and operations building, a major milestone reflecting years of strategic planning. The $25 million complex, funded through a combination of cash reserves and efficient debt use, will support the district’s work for decades to come.

During a recent visit to their new HQ, General Manager Roland Williams welcomed a group of local third graders who toured the facility and learned about the essential services CVSan provides. Their visit highlighted the district’s commitment not only to infrastructure, but also to community engagement and education.

NBS has been proud to consult and support the revenue side of CVSan for years, including ensuring that the $13MM in annual wastewater revenues are appropriately calculated and collected.
