CSMFO Launches Its First Government Finance Professionals Week
California is celebrating its first Government Finance Professionals Week, honoring the public finance experts who keep local agencies transparent, accountable, and fiscally sound. Created by the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO), the celebration runs March 23–27 and aims to spotlight a profession that is essential yet often overlooked.
By formally recognizing these contributions, Government Finance Professionals Week boosts morale, supports retention, and increases public awareness of the critical work happening behind the scenes.
